Cédric Marin

Cédric Marin is a bilingual Canadian immigration lawyer and founder of Marin Immigration Law. He focuses on helping individuals, families, and businesses across Canada and internationally with immigration applications, refusals, and litigation (e.g. judicial reviews).

Cédric brings a unique combination of adjudicative, legal, and litigation experience. He previously served as a law clerk to Justice Richard Mosley at the Federal Court of Canada and as a decision-maker at the Refugee Protection Division and Refugee Appeal Division of the Immigration and Refugee Board of Canada. He later worked with the UNHCR in Tunisia and Lebanon, making refugee determinations and resettlement recommendations.

He has advised on complex immigration matters, including Federal Court challenges, employer-specific work permits, and refusals. His clients include multinational corporations listed on the public exchange, Canadian tech companies, post-secondary institutions, registered charities, and individual applicants seeking a fair and informed pathway to Canada.

Over the course of his career, Cédric has handled hundreds of immigration files—from initial applications to complex refusals and appeals—across a wide range of categories, including study permits, work permits, Express Entry, spousal sponsorships, inadmissibility challenges, and more.

He has appeared regularly before the Federal Court of Canada, and helped clients respond to procedural fairness letters and misrepresentation allegations. His practice combines deep knowledge of immigration law with a practical, strategic approach to solving problems for individuals and companies alike.
