About

Julianne LeBlanc

Julianne LeBlanc joined Marin Immigration Law in fall 2026 as a research assistant on the firm's genealogy team. She traces each client's line back to the Canadian-born ancestor, sourcing the baptism, birth, marriage and death records that prove every generation. Having grown up in New Brunswick, she takes on the firm's files with roots in New Brunswick and Atlantic Canada, and her French and her training in French Canadian and Acadian history let her work directly in Quebec and Acadian parish registers.

Before joining the firm, Julianne was a genealogical and archival researcher at Indigenous Services Canada, where she traced multi-generational family lines using church registers, census returns and civil records, built chain-of-evidence files to verify historical eligibility, and drafted letters of ancestry. She has also worked as an archives assistant at the Bank of Canada, helping to organize and preserve institutional archives dating back to the 1930s and digitizing historical registers. Julianne holds an Honours BA in History, with a minor in French Studies, from the University of Ottawa, where she is now completing a Master's in History.
