About

Paula Valverde

Paula Valverde joined Marin Immigration Law in September 2026 as a legal assistant and works with associate lawyers Michaël Delagrée and Chanelle Rosenbaum. She drafts correspondence on their files for the lawyer's approval, assembles and formats application documents, follows up on records requests with vital statistics offices and archives, and keeps clients updated on the next steps in their file. Legal advice on every file comes from the lawyer.

Before joining the firm, Paula was a multilingual client operations coordinator at Human Quality, where she communicated directly with clients across seven industries, including legal and insurance matters, and handled more than 200 client interactions a week while keeping every file confidential. As a project coordinator intern at Giant Tiger, she drafted correspondence on behalf of the head of IT project management and built process automations that saved up to an hour of administrative work a day. Earlier, she coordinated programs, registration and travel logistics for the YMCA of Greater Seattle.

Paula holds an Ontario Graduate Certificate in Project Management from Algonquin College and a bachelor's degree in psychology. In Ottawa, she has volunteered as a team manager with Special Olympics Ottawa and as a volunteer coordinator with Women Speak Up.
