About

Chanelle Rosenbaum

Chanelle is an Associate Lawyer at Marin Immigration Law. She practices exclusively in Canadian immigration and citizenship law, helping individuals and families navigate complex processes, including citizenship applications, permanent residence, study permits, and work permits.

Chanelle focuses primarily on citizenship by descent applications, including complex multi-generational claims to citizenship involving historical lineage research and detailed legal submissions. She also has a particular interest in spousal and family sponsorships and Express Entry applications, and enjoys working closely with clients on matters that require a thoughtful and personalized approach.

Her practice focuses not only on preparing applications, but also on helping clients navigate difficult or uncertain processes, including refusals, urgent processing requests, and complex family or identity-based matters. Chanelle is known for her detail-oriented and compassionate approach to client advocacy, and for preparing clear and persuasive submissions tailored to each client’s unique circumstances.

Before practicing immigration law, Chanelle worked for many years in recruitment and human resources roles across the legal, financial, and not-for-profit sectors. She later completed her Master of Laws at the University of Toronto Faculty of Law and was called to the Bar of Ontario in 2021 after articling with a Toronto-based litigation firm.

Having immigrated to Canada herself through the Express Entry system before later becoming a Canadian citizen, Chanelle brings both professional and personal insight to her work assisting individuals and families through the Canadian immigration process.

Chanelle is authorized to represent clients before IRCC as a paid representative, since she is a lawyer in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario.
